2017-18 Regular Season Schedule Announced
Stars Kick Off Ninth Season on Oct. 6 Against Chicago
Jul 11, 2017CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced Tuesday their 76-game schedule for the 2017-18 regular season. The franchise will kick off their ninth season of play at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park with Opening Weekend on Friday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. against the Chicago Wolves.

Single-game tickets for all 38 home games will go on sale at a later date this summer.
The 2017-18 campaign will conclude on Saturday, April 14, against the San Antonio Rampage on Fan Appreciation Night.
The Stars will continue to compete in the AHL’s Pacific Division against the Rampage, Bakersfield Condors, Ontario Reign, San Diego Gulls, San Jose Barracuda, Stockton Heat and Tucson Roadrunners. The Stars’ first home games against their divisional opponents are Oct. 20 and 21 against the Rampage, Oct. 27 against San Diego, Oct. 28 against San Jose, Nov. 8 against Bakersfield, Nov. 9 against Ontario, Jan. 26 against Stockton and Feb. 9 against Tucson.
H-E-B Nights return for all Monday-Thursday home games where fans can donate any H-E-B branded, non-perishable food item at the box office for $5 off their ticket purchase. Coke Zero Family Four Packs and Texas Lottery Lucky Row Nights return this season for all Saturday home games. A full promotional schedule for home games this season will be announced at a later date.
Other notable dates include Nov. 10 and 11 when the Stars host the defending Calder Cup Champion Grand Rapids Griffins for Military Appreciation Weekend. Pink in the Rink Weekend, presented by Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, is Feb. 9 and 10 against the Tucson Roadrunners. Texas will also host the Manitoba Moose in a St. Patrick’s Day matchup on Saturday, March 17.
In total, the Stars play 28 of their 38 home games on Friday or Saturday. Eight games will be played on Wednesday and two on Tuesday. 14 different teams will visit H-E-B Center this season. The team’s most common opponent is San Antonio with 14 total meetings between the two rivals. Of their 76 total games, 44 will be played within the Pacific Division for the Stars. The other 32 will be played against the AHL’s Central Division (Chicago Wolves, Cleveland Monsters, Grand Rapids Griffins, Iowa Wild, Manitoba Moose, Milwaukee Admirals and Rockford IceHogs).
Texas will play six of its first nine games at home through October and wrap things up hosting five of their last six in April. December and March are the busiest months for the team with 13 scheduled games each. The longest road trip of the season is a seven-game, 16-day stretch from mid-November into December, primarily throughout the Midwest. The Stars play a five-game stretch in December for their longest homestand of the season at H-E-B Center, and the team will enjoy a 24-day period over January and February where they do not leave Central Texas. Only one three-in-three weekend is scheduled this year for Oct. 20, 21 and 22, all against San Antonio.
