Nov 11, 2014CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, continue their road trip this weekend traveling to Michigan and Illinois to visit the Grand Rapids Griffins and Rockford IceHogs.

Nov. 14 and Nov. 15 at Grand Rapids, 6 p.m. CST:
The Stars travel to Michigan to face off against the Grand Rapid Griffins in a weekend set. Friday’s game will be the first of four total meetings this season between the Stars and Griffins, and the first matchup since last year’s Western Conference Semifinal when the Stars eliminated Grand Rapids in six games. The Griffins are led offensively by Teemu Pulkkinen with eight points (four goals, four assists) on the season.
Nov. 16 at Rockford, 4 p.m. CST:
The Stars visit the Rockford IceHogs in their first Sunday game of the season, and the first of four total matchups this season. Last season, the Stars lost both of meetings against the IceHogs (0-2-0-0). This season, Rockford is led offensively by Mark McNeill, who is among the AHL leaders with 15 points and nine goals on the season.

Nov. 5 vs. Toronto, 3-1 Win:
In a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Final, Jussi Rynnas stopped 25 shots against his former team to lead the Stars to a 3-1 win. Greg Rallo, Radek Faksa, and Brett Ritchie each scored for the Stars in the win. Brenden Ranford and Scott Glennie each tallied two assists.
Nov. 8 at Charlotte, 8-2 Win:
Five different players for the Stars scored in the first period to break the game open, and Derek Hulak recorded his first career hat trick in the contest for an 8-2 win. Six different players recorded multi-point nights. Jussi Rynnas picked up his second straight win in net and fourth overall this season.
Nov. 10 at Charlotte. 3-1 Loss:
Travis Morin scored the Stars only goal and Jack Campbell stopped 30-of-32 shots, but the Charlotte Checkers added an empty-net goal in the final seconds to hold on for a 3-1 win and split the two-game set between the two teams.

John Klingberg was called up to the NHL’s Dallas Stars on Nov. 9, making him the third player called up to the NHL this season from Texas. Justin Dowling appeared in his 150th career AHL game on Nov. 8 at Charlotte. Travis Morin and John Klingberg are the AHL’s second-highest scoring duo currently with 29 combined points this year (Kris Newbury and Casey Wellman, Hershey Bears – 30 points). Travis Morin is tied for first in the AHL in overall scoring (18 points) and second in the league with 12 assists.
