ROCKFORD, Ill. - For the second straight night the Rockford IceHogs held off elimination by winning Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals over the Texas Stars in a 3-1 final on Friday at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
David Kampf's wrist shot from the blue line deflected off the blocker of Texas goaltender Mike McKenna and in the net for an awkward third goal to shut down an comeback attempt from Texas.
