Texas Stars Recall Center Taylor Vause from Idaho
Mar 13, 2014CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that the club has recalled center Taylor Vause from loan with the Idaho Steelheads, the team’s ECHL affiliate.
Vause, 23, recovered from a long-term injury and was sent back to Idaho on March 5th, where he scored points in each of the four games he played for the Steelheads, piling up six points (4 goals, 2 assists) during that span. The Calgary, Alberta native has appeared in 12 games for Texas this season, recording two points (1 goal, 1 assist) and two penalty minutes. Vause has played in 21 ECHL games for Idaho this season, scoring 15 points (10 goals, 5 assists) and recording 10 penalty minutes. The second year forward has played in 72 career AHL games, all with the Stars, and has 21 points (6 goals, 15 assists) and eight penalty minutes.
The Texas Stars will begin a three-game road trip by traveling to Illinois to face the Chicago Wolves Saturday, March 15th at 7:00 p.m. at Allstate Arena. They will return to Cedar Park Center on Friday, March 21st as they host the Oklahoma City Barons at 7:30 p.m. Friday’s game kicks off Military Appreciation Weekend presented by Round Rock Auto Group and $3 Beer & $4 Robert Mondavi Private Selection Wine Night.
