Stars Reassign Tony Calderone to Idaho Steelheads
Oct 25, 2019CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today that forward Tony Calderone has been reassigned by Dallas from Texas to the club’s ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads.
Calderone, 25, has played two games for Texas this year after logging 33 AHL games as a rookie in 2018-19. Calderone collected 10 points (5-5=10) in those games and also recorded 15 points (6-9=15) in 22 ECHL games with Idaho. The second year forward turned pro in 2018 after his senior season at University of Michigan where he produced 45 points (25-20=45) in 40 NCAA games as team captain.
The 6-foot, 201-pound winger from Trenton, Michigan helped the Wolverines win a Big-10 Championship in 2016 and collected 92 points (54-38=92) across 134 career NCAA games.
The Texas Stars continue their road trip through the Midwest Friday night, Oct. 25, 2019, at 7 p.m. against the Milwaukee Admirals at UWM Panther Arena. The team will then face the Grand Rapids Griffins on Saturday at 7 p.m. from Van Andel Arena.
