Stars Announce Training Camp Roster and Schedule
Sep 30, 2014CEDAR PARK, Texas – The defending Calder Cup champion Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today their initial roster and schedule for the start of training camp for the 2014-15 campaign.
Twenty-six players reported to Cedar Park Center on Monday for physicals, and the squad will hit the ice today for their first practice. All non-game day practices are schedule for 10:00 a.m. starts.
The 15 forwards on the opening training camp roster include Jason Bast, Colton Beck, Scott Glennie, Kevin Henderson, Ludwig Karlsson, James Livingston, Wade MacLeod, Taylor Peters, Steve Quailer, Greg Rallo, Jesse Root, Gemel Smith, Matej Stransky, Brandon Troock and Derek Hulak. The eight defensemen are Randy Cure, Mike Dalhuisen, Charlie Dodero, Maxime Fortunus, Cameron Gaunce, Derek Meech, William Wrenn and Troy Vance. The three goaltenders are Jack Campbell, Henrik Kiviaho and Maxime Lagace.
All practice sessions will be open to the media and a formal media day is set for Wednesday, Oct. 8. Practice sessions will not be open to the public. The Stars will compete in a pair of preseason games on Oct. 3 against the Oklahoma City Barons at 7:00 p.m. and Oct. 5 against the San Antonio Rampage at 3:00 p.m. Both games will be played at Cedar Park Center.
