Organization Announces Roster Changes Between Texas and Idaho
Nov 5, 2018CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced several roster moves today as the Dallas Stars have reassigned goaltender Philippe Desrosiers to Texas from the team’s ECHL affiliate, the Idaho Steelheads, and also assigned Colton Point and Tony Calderone to Idaho from Texas. In addition, Texas has recalled forward Elgin Pearce from the Steelheads.
Desrosiers, 23, is in his fourth season with the Stars organization and has logged 20 games across the past three seasons with Texas. The Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec native has accrued a 9-7-0 record, 2.65 GAA, and .909 SV% with one shutout. Desrosiers has played in six games this year for the Steelheads, earning a 2-3-0-1 record, 2.76 GAA, and .910 SV%.
Pearce, 26, began the season in Texas and played one game with the Stars to start the year. The forward from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia has played 11 career games in the AHL across the last three seasons, netting a goal and adding two assists. With Idaho, Pearce has tallied a pair of assists in five contests.
Point has seen action in five games this year, totaling a 1-3-1 record, 3.96 GAA, and .854 SV% as a rookie in the AHL. Calderone is also skating in his rookie season and has scored one goal in six games with the Stars.
Texas returns home on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. to battle the San Antonio Rampage at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park for the first time this year. It is Military Appreciation Night presented by Re-Bath of Austin as the Stars will also have a Stars Knit Cap Giveaway.
