Dallas Stars Reassign Mathieu Tousignant to St. John’s

CEDAR PARK, TX – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has reassigned Mathieu Tousignant from Texas to the St. John’s IceCaps (AHL).
Tousignant, 23, appeared in 18 games for Texas this season, scoring one goal and recording 10 penalty minutes. The St. Etienne-de-Lauzon, Quebec native also played 28 ECHL games for the Idaho Steelheads, where he posted 19 points (4 goals, 15 assists) and 77 penalty minutes. Undrafted out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey Leauge, Tousignant skated in 176 career AHL games for the Stars over the last four seasons (2009-2013) tallying 38 points (17 goals, 21 assists) and 224 penalty minutes. He also played in five career Calder Cup playoff games with Texas during the 2010-11 season.
The Texas Stars will continue their five-game road trip on Thursday, April 11th as they travel to Charlotte for a 6:00 p.m. CT faceoff with the Checkers at Time Warner Cable Arena.
