Dallas Stars Reassign Cameron Gaunce to Texas
Dec 28, 2014CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today defenseman Cameron Gaunce has been reassigned to the team from the NHL.
Gaunce (GAWNS), 24, has posted three points (one goal, two assists) in 29 games played for Texas this season. Last year, he split his time between Dallas and Texas. With Dallas, he appeared in nine games recording a +1 plus/minus rating and seven penalty minutes. With Texas, he recorded 18 points (three goals, 15 assists) in 65 regular season games. In 18 playoff contests, he recorded four points (four assists), including three assists in the Calder Cup Final series-clinching victory.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound native of Sudbury, Ontario was selected by Colorado in the second round (50th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft. He was acquired by Dallas from Colorado in exchange for Tomas Vincour on April 2, 2013.
Texas will host San Antonio this evening at 5 p.m. to close out their three-game weekend.
