Dallas Sends Bachman & Oleksiak To Texas

CEDAR PARK, TX – The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has assigned goaltender Richard Bachman and rookie defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to Texas.
Bachman, 25, has a .911 save percentage (SV%) and a 2.74 goals against average (GAA) in 19 career NHL games. Last season, he became the first Stars goaltender to shutout the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden since Gump Worsley in 1972. The Salt Lake City, Utah native was Dallas' fourth-round selection (120th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Bachman has played parts of three seasons (2009-2012) with Texas, posting a 39-29-6 record in 78 AHL games, with a 2.37 goals-against average, a 0.920 save percentage and holds the club record with nine career AHL shutouts.
Oleksiak, 20, has skated in 38 games for Texas this season, earning 17 points (3G-14A) and a plus-6 rating. Earlier this week, he was selected to participate in the 2013 AHL All-Star Game Classic in Providence. The 6-foot-7, Toronto, Ont. native was Dallas' first-round selection (14th overall) in 2011.
Texas continues its six-game road trip on Friday, January 18th with a chance for instant revenge against the Chicago Wolves at 7:00 p.m. at Allstate Arena. The Stars return home on Saturday, January 26th to square off with the San Antonio Rampage at 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
