2015-16 Regular Season Schedule Unveiled

CEDAR PARK, Texas – The Texas Stars, American Hockey League affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, announced today their full 76-game schedule for the 2015-16 season. The club ushers in the Victory Green era on Saturday, Oct. 10, when the Stars host their in-state rival, the San Antonio Rampage, at 7 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
Single-game tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for all 38 home games. The full 76-game schedule and more information are available online at http://www.texasstarshockey.com. The Stars also play a pair of home preseason games against San Antonio on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 4 at 3 p.m.
Starting opening night, and returning for Saturday and Sunday home games this season, are Coke Zero Family Four Packs with four tickets, four hot dogs, four soft drinks, and parking starting at just $16 a person. Plus, Saturdays are Texas Lottery Lucky Row Nights, where the first Stars player to score a goal will win scratch-off tickets for one lucky row of seats.
This season the Stars will compete in the AHL’s Pacific Division against the Rampage and the league’s five new California-based clubs. The first chance for fans to see the new teams begins Wednesday, Oct. 21, against the Stockton Heat. The Bakersfield Condors visit Cedar Park Center Oct. 30. The Ontario Reign arrive on Nov. 21. The San Diego Gulls visit on Thursday, Dec. 31, for the first-ever New Year’s Eve game at Cedar Park Center with a special 7 p.m. puck drop. Jan. 27 is the first home matchup against the San Jose Barracuda.
H-E-B Nights return for all Monday-Thursday home games as fans can donate any H-E-B branded, non-perishable food item at the box office for $5 off their ticket purchase.
A full promotional schedule for home games this season will be announced at a later date.
Other notable dates include a home contest against San Antonio on Dec. 26 for the Christmas holiday weekend, and March 5 marks the return of the Manitoba Moose to Cedar Park for the first time in five years as the club returns to the AHL this season.
The 2015-16 regular season concludes on Saturday, April 16, against Manitoba on Fan Appreciation Night.
All weeknight home games (Monday-Friday) will continue to start at 7:30 p.m., with the exception of Dec. 29, against San Antonio, and New Year’s Eve (7 p.m. starts). All Saturday night puck drops are at 7 p.m. and Sunday games start at 5 p.m.
In total the Stars play 24 of their 38 home games on Friday or Saturday, and 14 different teams will visit Cedar Park Center this season. The team’s most common opponent this year is San Antonio (14 total games), and they play their other five Pacific Division opponents six times each. The remainder of the Stars’ games come against the AHL’s Central Division teams. December and January are the Stars’ busiest time of the season with 14 total games each month.
Texas plays 12 of their final 17 games at home.
