Joel L’Esperance Reassigned to Texas from Dallas

Dallas Stars Recall Center Joel L'EsperanceFRISCO, Texas – Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced that the club has re-assigned center Joel L'Esperance to the Texas Stars.

 

L'Esperance, 23, made his NHL debut on February 16, 2019 against the Carolina Hurricanes and played three additional games for Dallas. He recorded three shots on goal while skating in his first career promotion.

 

The rookie skater is second in the AHL with 27 goals while leading Texas with 42 points (27-15=42) in 49 games this season. L’Esperance is fourth in the AHL with 11 power play goals this year and paces all AHL’s rookies with five-game winning goals.

 

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound native of Brighton, Mich. was originally undrafted and signed with Dallas as a free agent on July 1, 2018.

 

The Texas Stars are the primary development affiliate of the NHL’s Dallas Stars, and return to Chicago on Sunday for a rematch with the Chicago Wolves at 3:00 p.m. at Allstate Arena.
